These terms explain the rules for using the WeRoam app and website. By downloading, accessing or using WeRoam, you agree to them. Please read them carefully — if you don't agree, please don't use the service.
WeRoam (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an active-travel and fitness app operated by Active AI. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the WeRoam mobile app, the website at weroamapp.com, and any related services (together, the “Service”). They form a legal agreement between you and us.
Your privacy is covered separately by our privacy and cookie information, which forms part of these Terms.
WeRoam turns everyday walks, wheels and cycles into points, challenges and rewards, and helps you discover places near you. We may add, change or remove features at any time to improve the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service. If you are under 18, you should have your parent or guardian's permission. By using WeRoam you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you give us is accurate.
When using WeRoam, you agree not to:
We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these rules.
Points, levels, challenges and any rewards are provided for fun and encouragement. They have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money, and can't be transferred between accounts. We may change how points are earned, adjust balances to correct errors or abuse, and add or withdraw rewards and challenges at any time. Rewards offered by partners are subject to the partner's own terms and availability.
You keep ownership of anything you submit to WeRoam (such as photos, comments or profile details). By submitting content, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store and display it so we can operate and promote the Service. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to share what you post, and that it doesn't break these Terms.
WeRoam may connect to third-party services (for example fitness trackers such as Strava, Garmin, Fitbit or Apple Health, and the Apple App Store and Google Play). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We're not responsible for third-party services or content we link to.
WeRoam, its logo, design, software and content (other than your content) belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute or resell any part of the Service without our permission.
WeRoam encourages physical activity but is not a medical service. Take care of your own safety — stay aware of your surroundings, follow the Highway Code and local rules, and don't use the app in a way that distracts you while moving. If you have any health concerns, speak to a healthcare professional before starting new activity. You take part at your own risk.
We work hard to keep WeRoam running smoothly, but we can't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend or withdraw all or part of the Service for maintenance, updates or other reasons.
The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we exclude all warranties not expressly set out in these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for loss arising from your failure to follow these Terms. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know (for example, in the app). By continuing to use WeRoam after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
You can stop using WeRoam and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if we need to for legal or security reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property and liability) will continue to apply after your account ends.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
